The Streamlight Strion DS HL is a compact, rechargeable handheld flashlight purpose-built for law enforcement, security, and tactical users who need a high-output beam in a pocketable package. The "DS" stands for Dual Switch - an independent head-mounted and tail-cap-mounted push-button switch gives the user instant access to all output modes from either grip position, with no grip shift required.

At the heart of the Strion DS HL is Streamlight's C4 LED technology, which is impervious to shock and rated for a lifetime of use. The light delivers a maximum 700 lumens on High, stepping down to 300 lumens on Medium and 40 lumens on Low for extended runtime. Run times are 1.25 hours on High, 3.5 hours on Medium, and an impressive 24 hours on Low, plus a tactical strobe that runs 2.5 hours for signaling or disorientation.

The body is machined from 6000 series anodized aircraft aluminum with a matte Black finish. The lens is a Borofloat high-temperature glass window. The light carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating and is 2-meter impact resistance tested, making it a durable everyday-duty tool.

Dimensions are 6.33 inches overall length with a 1.25 inch head diameter and a 0.95 inch barrel diameter, weighing just 5.4 ounces (153 g) with the battery.
