The Streamlight ProTac 2AA-X USB is a compact, multi-fuel tactical flashlight built around Streamlight's proprietary protected lithium-ion USB-C rechargeable battery pack, with a standard AA alkaline fallback for missions where recharging isn't an option. On High with the USB-C pack installed, it produces a blistering 550 lumens and a 203-meter beam; switching to Low drops output to 40 lumens for long-runtime tasks. Drop in a pair of AA alkalines and the same light still delivers 270 lumens on High and 18 lumens on Low, so the ProTac 2AA-X USB is never out of service for lack of a charger.

The body is machined from 6000 series aircraft-grade aluminum with a coyote anodized finish, measuring just 6.00" overall with a 0.90" head diameter and weighing a carry-friendly 3.50 oz. A tail-cap switch cycles the modes, and Streamlight's TEN-TAP programming lets the user pick between three pre-set mode sequences so the light can be tuned for tactical, outdoor, or general-purpose use.
