Stevens 555 Compact 28 Gauge 24" 2-Rd Over/Under Break-Open Shotgun

The Stevens 555 Compact in 28 Gauge is a lightweight over-and-under break-open shotgun designed for upland hunters and clay shooters who want a scaled-down, easy-handling field gun. Built around a satin black aluminum receiver and a pair of 24" vent-rib barrels, the 555 Compact delivers a lively, low-recoil shooting experience well suited for small-game hunts and rounds of clays alike.

The over/under action is fed through a set of 24" barrels chambered for 2.75" shells, with a single-stage trigger, a tang-mounted safety, and a bead sight riding on the vent rib for quick target acquisition. The 555 Compact uses the Beretta/Benelli Mobil choke system and ships with five interchangeable choke tubes (C, F, IC, IM, M) so you can tune patterns for close-cover hunting or longer-range sporting clays.

At only 5 lbs with an overall length of 39.57", the 555 Compact is intentionally trim. The fixed satin Turkish walnut stock is dimensioned for smaller-framed or younger shooters without sacrificing the feel of a traditional shotgun, and the aluminum receiver keeps the gun light over a long walk in the field. The ambidextrous stock accommodates right- and left-handed shooters equally well.
