The Steiner M1580 is a 15x80mm military binocular built around Steiner's floating prism design and the signature Sports-Auto Focus system. Once each eyepiece is set, the optic holds sharp focus out to infinity without constant readjusting, making it a serious observation instrument for long-range spotting, border security, marine lookouts, and tactical field use where every second matters.

Massive 80mm objective lenses feed the floating prism, producing a bright image with a 216 ft field of view at 1,000 yds, a 34.6 twilight factor, and crisp detail across the magnification range. Optics are fully multi-coated for maximum light transmission and contrast in low-light conditions, while 13mm of eye relief and a 5.30mm exit pupil support comfortable extended viewing. Short focus reaches 197 ft for closer observation tasks when needed.
