The Steiner 2342 Navigator 7x50 is a purpose-built marine binocular designed for stable, bright viewing on open water. Featuring 7x magnification paired with a large 50mm objective lens, the Navigator delivers a steady image even in rough seas and excellent contrast for picking out buoys, beacons, bridge numbers, and other navigational markers from a pitching deck.
Steiner's open-hinge bridge design gives this binocular a wider, more balanced grip for one-handed use, while the 7x50 configuration offers the brightness and exit pupil favored by mariners for low-light and twilight use on the water. The housing is sealed waterproof to 5 meters, ready to shed spray, rain, and the occasional dunking without missing a beat.
This is the non-compass variant of the Navigator series, offering a clean view without the fluid-dampened analog compass found on the "C" models. It carries a generous field of view of 419 feet at 1,000 yards and weighs 26.6 oz in a compact, stowable package well suited to a jacket pocket, binocular harness, or nav-station drawer.
Finished in Navy Blue and built by Steiner, the Navigator 7x50 Open Hinge is a classic, no-nonsense binocular for sailing, coastal navigation, and general marine use.
