The SSK-50 Receiver from SSK Firearms is a modernized single-shot pistol frame designed as a direct upgrade to the legendary Thompson Center Contender platform. Machined from stainless steel in a Lynx-side configuration, this receiver accepts all Thompson Center / SSK G1 and G2 Contender barrels (post TC Generation 1) as well as SSK-50 barrels, giving Contender enthusiasts a stronger, more precisely toleranced foundation for their custom pistol builds.

SSK-50 receivers are manufactured to tighter tolerances than the original Contender frame, delivering a noticeably improved barrel-to-frame fit and a more consistent lockup every time you swap a barrel. The frame carries a clean stainless finish paired with a black nitride-finished trigger guard and black oxide-finished hammer and trigger for a handsome two-tone appearance. The familiar break-open action uses the same Contender-style hinge and forend latch, so your existing Contender barrels seat and lock up just as they always have.

This listing is for the frame/receiver only; no barrel, grips, or forend is included. Pair it with your favorite T/C Contender or SSK-50 barrel, grips, and accessories to build a personalized single-shot pistol chambered in any of dozens of available calibers. The SSK-50 Receiver is a serialized firearm component and FFL transfer is required. Approximate frame weight is 1 lb 9 oz.
