The SSK Firearms Encore barrel in .45-70 Government is a drop-in replacement barrel built specifically for the Thompson/Center Encore single-shot platform. Machined from stainless steel with a glass bead barrel finish in the Hunter grade profile, this 18-inch barrel delivers the heavy-bullet performance and rugged construction that have made the .45-70 Government a perennial favorite for big-game hunting and single-shot work.

A pre-installed TSOB scope base sits at the receiver end, giving shooters a rock-solid Picatinny mounting platform for red dots, scout scopes, or traditional riflescopes. The muzzle is factory threaded and ships with a matching thread protector, allowing easy installation of a muzzle brake or suppressor for recoil mitigation and noise reduction in the field.

Designed to swap directly into any standard T/C Encore frame, this SSK barrel turns a single platform into a hard-hitting big-bore hunting rig capable of handling everything from whitetail deer to elk and black bear.
