The Spyderco Native Chief Lightweight is a full-service tactical folder that builds on the classic Native platform with a longer 4.02" blade, a reduced-weight FRN handle, and an all-black, low-profile finish package. Part of Spyderco's Lightweight series, this version drops roughly 21% off the weight of the standard Native Chief by replacing stainless steel liners with fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales, finishing out at just 3.10 oz.

The drop-point blade is forged from CTS BD1N stainless steel and finished with a non-reflective Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating for corrosion resistance and edge retention. It rides on a full-flat grind, opens via Spyderco's signature round thumb hole, and locks up with a reliable lockback mechanism for safe everyday carry.
