Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 CQB 7.62x51mm NATO 16.25" 10+1 Semi-Auto Rifle

The Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 CQB delivers the M1A platform in a compact, close-quarters-ready configuration chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. Purpose-built around a shortened 16.25" carbon steel barrel with a shortened gas system, this rifle packages full-power performance into a much more manageable form factor. The barrel and steel receiver share a tough Black Parkerized finish, and the muzzle is fitted with an effective muzzle brake to help tame felt recoil.

At the heart of the rifle is a Semi-Auto action fed from a detachable box magazine with a 10+1 capacity, paired with a clean-breaking Two-Stage trigger. The carbon steel barrel carries a 1:11 twist rate, well-suited to a wide range of 7.62x51mm projectile weights for both defensive and sport-shooting applications. Right-handed controls keep the manual of arms intuitive for traditional riflemen.

The CQB upgrades the SOCOM 16 with the Archangel CQB 5-Position Adjustable stock, featuring an adjustable 2-position cheek piece and a modern M-Lok rail system on the forend, paired with a Black Polymer grip. Out-of-the-box sighting is handled by a self-illuminating XS Tritium post front sight mated to a Ghost Ring rear, giving fast target acquisition in low-light conditions. The rifle measures 35.50" to 38.50" overall depending on stock position and weighs 9.20 lbs.
