The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator AOS is a purpose-built, brand-new single-action semi-automatic pistol developed around the factory-cut Agency Optics System (AOS) slide, ready to accept today's most popular red-dot optics. Chambered in 9mm Luger, this Operator AOS pairs the classic Government-profile 1911 platform with modern optics-friendly features suited to duty, home defense, and serious range use.

Construction is all carbon steel with a Black Cerakote finish on the frame and slide for corrosion resistance and a low-visibility profile. The 5-inch barrel delivers a full Government-length sight radius, and the slide is delivered optic ready with forward cocking serrations and a factory-milled optics cut. An integral under-barrel Picatinny rail accepts weapon lights or lasers while preserving the traditional 1911 control layout. At roughly 42 oz empty with an 8.6-inch overall length and 5.25-inch height, this 9mm Operator AOS balances shootability and carryability for law-enforcement, home-defense, and range roles.

A classic thumb safety, a crisp single-action trigger, and textured VZ G10 grips anchor the shooter's interface.
