The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator AOS is a duty-grade 45 ACP single-action semi-automatic pistol purpose-built for personal defense, duty carry, and serious range work.

This Operator pairs a 5" forged stainless steel match-grade barrel with a rugged carbon steel frame and an integrated Picatinny accessory rail. The signature beavertail grip safety and crisp single-action trigger keep the controls classic 1911, while modern upgrades make it ready for today's defensive shooter.

The defining feature is Springfield's Advanced Optic System (AOS), an interchangeable plate system that lets the Operator mount a wide range of popular red-dot optics directly to the slide. The pistol ships with a single 8-round single-stack magazine, giving an 8+1 total capacity.

This COA variant is finished in black over the carbon steel frame for a clean, no-nonsense fighting look. At 42 oz unloaded, with an 8.6" overall length and 5.25" height, the Operator AOS has the weight and sight radius to tame 45 ACP recoil and stay on target through rapid fire.
