The Springfield Armory 1911 Garrison in .45 ACP pairs heirloom-quality 1911 construction with modern upgrades. The Garrison is built around a forged stainless steel frame with an extended beavertail and a serrated stainless steel slide, finished in a clean, bright stainless that resists corrosion while showing off the lines of the classic Government-profile 1911.

A 5" forged stainless steel, match-grade barrel anchors the front end and delivers the timeless Garrison feel and accuracy, while a single-action-only (SAO) trigger keeps the traditional 1911 manual of arms intact. The slide wears low-profile 3-dot combat sights for quick target acquisition, and a traditional grip and thumb safety rounds out the controls. Thin-Line wood grips with a classic double-diamond pattern fill the hand and complete the heritage look.

Designed as a rock-solid carry and range 1911 in the USA, the Garrison ships with one 7-round magazine for a total 7+1 capacity. It weighs 37 oz, runs 8.6" overall, and stands 5.5" tall - sized right for duty, home defense, or weekend plinking.
