The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp AOS takes the proven 1911 platform and pushes it into modern duty and competition territory with double-stack capacity, an integrated compensator, and an optic-ready slide. Chambered in 9mm Luger, this semi-automatic pistol pairs a 5" forged stainless steel match-grade bull barrel with a 1:16 twist for consistent accuracy, and rides on a Black Cerakote finished frame with a serrated, optic-cut slide that tames muzzle rise while accepting today's popular red-dot optics.

The Prodigy Comp uses a single-action trigger with an ambidextrous safety for easy manipulation by all shooters, and the contoured black polymer grips keep the package manageable at an 8.5" overall length. With a 10+1 round capacity and shipped in the Gear Pac configuration with (2) 10-round magazines, this pistol is set up for range days and defensive carry right out of the box.
