The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS Gear Pac packages the company's high-capacity double-stack 9mm Luger 1911 with the supporting kit a shooter needs to run it on day one. Built on the Prodigy's black Cerakote carbon-steel frame and optic-ready, serrated AOS-pattern slide, this single-action semi-auto pairs a 5" forged stainless steel match-grade bull barrel with a classic 1911 trigger for a duty- and competition-oriented take on the platform. Capacity runs to 20+1 from the included magazines, and the ambidextrous thumb and grip safety provides confident handling on the black polymer grips. Overall length measures 8.5".

This Gear Pac configuration ships ready to go with a Viridian RFX11 closed-emitter green dot optic that mounts directly to the AOS-pattern slide, plus a combination of 17-round and 20-round magazines (four total) and a soft pistol bag. The AOS plate system accepts a range of popular micro red-dot footprints so the user can swap optics as preferred, and standard 1911-style controls plus a Picatinny accessory rail finish out the package.
