Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS 9mm Luger 5" 17+1 Semi-Auto Pistol - Black Cerakote

The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS is a high-capacity, double-stack evolution of the classic 1911 platform chambered in 9mm Luger. The 5-inch AOS (Agency Optics System) configuration pairs a 17-round double-stack magazine with traditional 1911 ergonomics and modern features tailored for range, defensive, and duty use.

At the heart of the pistol is a 5" forged stainless steel match-grade bull barrel with a 1:16 rate of twist, delivering the accuracy shooters expect from a Prodigy-series handgun. The forged carbon steel slide wears a low-glare Black Cerakote finish and is cut for the AOS optics-ready plate system, allowing direct mounting of a red-dot sight to the slide.

Controls follow familiar 1911 conventions. A beavertail carbon steel frame, fiber optic front sight for fast target acquisition, and a black serrated rear sight deliver a crisp sight picture. The black polymer grip module keeps the pistol light in hand while accommodating the double-stack magazine, while a two-piece full-length guide rod smooths the recoil cycle.

Measuring 8.5" overall with an unloaded weight of approximately 33 oz, this Prodigy AOS is proudly made in the USA by Springfield Armory.
