The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS brings true double-stack capacity to the proven 1911 platform in a 9mm Luger package built for both range time and defensive carry. The Prodigy is a full-size pistol with a 5" heavy bull barrel, a crisp single-action trigger, and a 10+1 round capacity so it shoots like a 1911 with modern magazine real estate.

Finished in a tough Black Cerakote, the slide is cut for Springfield's Agency Optic System (AOS) and ships with mounting plates designed exclusively for the 1911 DS so a wide range of micro red dots drop right on. The slide features aggressive serrations for confident manipulation, and the thumb safety gives the classic, familiar 1911 manual of arms that has carried the platform for over a century.

Molded polymer grips keep the package manageable in hand, and the frame's Black Cerakote finish holds up to hard use. This is current-production manufacturing from Springfield Armory.

This SKU is the Gear Pac configuration, which adds a Viridian RFX11 green dot optic, four magazines, and a pistol bag right in the box so you have everything needed to get to the range and run the gun the moment you get home.
