The Speer Gold Dot Personal Protection reloading bullet brings Speer's bonded-core bullet design to the handloading bench for the 9mm Luger self-defense handloader. A lead core is chemically bonded to a copper jacket so the two stay together on impact, driving controlled, uniform expansion through barriers while the bullet retains nearly all of its mass.

At 90 grains in a .355 diameter, this bullet features a hollow point cavity tuned to initiate consistent expansion. A sectional density of .102 supports stable, accurate flight from common 9mm Luger defense recipes. The bullet is sized and weight-inspected to deliver uniform downrange performance.
