The Sonic Boom/Jerent SBT02 is a 2 lb rifle exploding target built to deliver a loud report and a large plume of visible debris when struck by a qualifying rifle round. Sold as a single unit, the SBT02 is formulated for long-range visibility so spotters can confirm impacts at extended distances.

Sonic Boom exploding targets use a two-part chemical mixture that is mixed on-site and poured into a target mound. When the target is struck by a qualifying projectile, the mixture detonates, producing both an audible blast and a visible cloud of debris. The SBT02 is marketed as using the cleanest chemicals on the market, creating the largest explosion, and producing the loudest boom in the Sonic Boom exploding-target lineup.

The SBT02 is designed for centerfire rifle use. To initiate detonation, the target must be struck by a centerfire rifle projectile weighing at least 40 grains and traveling at a minimum of 2,200 fps. The SBT02 is not auto-resetting; once detonated, the target site must be re-mixed with fresh compound for the next round of practice.
