The Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 627 is a premium N-Frame double-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, engineered for shooters who want the smoothness and precision the Performance Center line is known for. Built around a heavy stainless steel frame and a 5-inch stainless steel barrel matched to an 8-round cylinder, the 627 delivers the weight, sight radius, and balance needed for serious range work while remaining controllable with full-power .357 Magnum loads as well as .38 Special +P ammunition.

This configuration wears a non-reflective matte stainless finish on both the barrel and cylinder, retaining the classic teardrop N-frame silhouette. The action has been PC tuned for an exceptionally smooth double-action pull and a crisp single-action break, and the revolver is outfitted with a chrome flashed teardrop hammer, trigger, and trigger stop. Cylinder lock-up is achieved through a robust ball-detent design for confident accuracy shot after shot. Smooth wood grips come fitted from the factory, and a synthetic grip is included in the box so the shooter can swap in a different feel at the range.

Iron sights are set up for deliberate shooting: a bright gold bead front pairs with an adjustable rear sight for fast target acquisition and precise alignment. An exposed hammer lets the shooter choose between double-action for defensive readiness and single-action for accurate slow fire.
