The Smith & Wesson Performance Center 460 XVR is a maximum-power .460 S&W Magnum revolver built on the X-Large (X-Frame) platform with a 3.5" barrel and a 5-shot stainless cylinder. Part of the XVR (X-treme Velocity Revolver) line, this Performance Center variant ships with a tuned action, a chrome teardrop hammer, and a matte silver stainless steel frame intended for serious handgun hunting and long-range target work.

The 3.5" barrel features S&W's signature gain-twist rifling, which progressively increases the rate of twist down the bore to stabilize the wide range of bullet weights the .460 S&W Mag was designed to fire - from .45 Colt and .454 Casull up to full-power .460 Magnum hunting loads. The revolver measures 10" overall and weighs 58.8 oz, giving it the mass and balance needed to manage the punishing recoil of the cartridge. Sights are a high-visibility setup: a HiViz green dot fiber-optic front paired with an adjustable rear for fast, precise sight picture at distance.

The stainless steel frame, barrel, and cylinder stand up to years of field carry, and the black finger-grooved rubber grip provides positive control during firing.
