The Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 586 L-Comp is a premium mid-size, seven-shot revolver chambered in 357 Magnum, purpose-built for personal protection and sport shooting. As the first blued, seven-shot, mid-size revolver offered by Smith & Wesson, the 586 L-Comp merges the time-tested L-frame platform with a compact, carry-friendly profile.

At its core sits a 3-inch ported full lug barrel finished in traditional blued carbon steel, with porting engineered to help reduce muzzle rise during rapid strings of fire. The revolver measures 8 inches overall and tips the scales at roughly 36.4 ounces, striking a balanced, controllable feel that serves both defensive and range roles. The cylinder holds 7 rounds of 357 Magnum and the action runs in true double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer for single-action precision work and a smooth double-action trigger for rapid engagement.

The L-frame is finished in blued on both the frame and barrel, contrasted by elegant checkered Altamont rosewood grips. A titanium front sight with a tritium night insert pairs with an adjustable black board rear sight for quick, confident low-light acquisition. This Performance Center package ships with moon clips to speed reloading of the seven-shot cylinder.
