Smith & Wesson Model 340 PD 357 Mag 1.88" 5-Shot DAO J-Frame Revolver

The Smith & Wesson Model 340 PD is an ultra-lightweight .357 Magnum double-action-only revolver built on S&W's classic J-frame, purpose-built for everyday personal defense and concealed carry. At roughly 11.8 ounces unloaded, it is one of the lightest .357 Magnums in the S&W lineup, achieved through a matte black scandium alloy frame paired with a titanium alloy cylinder.

This Personal Defense variant wears a short 1.88" stainless steel barrel finished in matte black, a fixed rear sight paired with a red ramp front sight for quick target acquisition, and a snag-free concealed hammer that keeps the profile smooth for draw from a pocket or holster. The revolver holds 5 rounds in the cylinder and is rated for continuous +P ammunition use.

Ergonomics come courtesy of a black finger-grooved polymer grip that gives a positive hold without snagging clothing. Overall length measures 6.30". This Model 340 PD is configured without an internal lock for the smooth, traditional double-action-only pull.
