The Smith & Wesson Model 27 Classic is a reissue of the iconic .357 Magnum double-action revolver rooted in the platform S&W introduced in 1935 as the first production handgun chambered for the powerful Magnum cartridge. This CA Compliant configuration is built on the traditional N-Frame with a blued carbon steel frame, barrel, and cylinder, pairing a 4" barrel with a matched 6-round cylinder for a balanced all-purpose revolver suited to both field and personal protection use.

The double-action / single-action mechanism is operated by an exposed hammer, allowing the shooter to thumb-cock for precise single-action trigger pulls or run the gun in smooth double-action for fast follow-up shots. A classic Patridge front sight pairs with an adjustable rear sight for a crisp, traditional sight picture. Because the cylinder is chambered for the .357 Magnum case, the Model 27 Classic also safely accepts 38 Special +P ammunition, giving the shooter a versatile two-caliber revolver on a single platform.

A set of checkered square-butt walnut grips fills the hand and helps tame the recoil of full-power Magnum loads, complementing the deep blued finish that wraps the carbon steel frame, barrel, and cylinder.
