Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport III 5.56 NATO 16" 30+1 Semi-Auto Rifle

The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport III is an AR-platform semi-automatic sporting rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and fully compatible with .223 Remington ammunition. Positioned as the value-oriented entry into the M&P15 family, the Sport III delivers the familiar modular controls and ergonomics of S&W's modern sporting rifle line for range training, recreational shooting, and home defense.

At the core is a 16" threaded barrel with a 1:8 twist rate, finished with a classic A2 flash suppressor to tame muzzle signature. The upper receiver carries a full-length Picatinny optics rail, and the free-float handguard is built around the M-LOK accessory system for mounting lights, lasers, and foregrips. The aluminum receiver is finished in a durable black anodized coating for corrosion resistance.

Controls include a thumb safety positioned for quick manipulation, and the rifle is fitted with a 6-position adjustable stock that takes the overall length from approximately 32" collapsed to 35" fully extended. Empty weight is approximately 6.12 lbs, making the Sport III a light and agile carbine. The rifle ships with one 30-round magazine, giving a 30+1 ready capacity.
