Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport III .223 Rem/5.56 NATO 16" 10+1 Semi-Auto Rifle

The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport III is a modern sporting rifle built on the proven AR-15 platform and chambered in .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO. It pairs a 16-inch threaded barrel finished in Armornite with a 1:8 twist and 5R rifling for accurate performance across a wide variety of ammunition.

The barrel sits inside a 15-inch M-LOK free-float handguard for easy mounting of accessories, lights, and foregrips, and feeds through a mid-length gas system for smooth, reliable cycling. The 7075-T6 aluminum receiver carries a black Picatinny optics rail, with no factory iron sights installed so the shooter can add their preferred optic directly. Controls include a thumb safety, forward assist, dust cover, and a chromed firing pin, all wrapped in a forged, integral trigger guard.

The 6-position black synthetic stock adjusts length of pull to fit different shooters and shooting positions, while the black polymer pistol grip keeps the rifle comfortable in hand. The muzzle is threaded and capped with a classic A2 flash hider. Capacity is 10+1, overall length is 35 inches, and unloaded weight is 6.40 lbs, making the Sport III a versatile choice for the range, home defense, and recreational shooting.
