Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE Performance Center 223 Rem/5.56 NATO 16.1" 30+1 Semi-Auto Rifle

The Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE Performance Center is a semi-auto AR-platform rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO (also accepts .223 Remington), built around a 16.1" threaded barrel with a 1:8" twist and GVAC steel construction. The barrel wears an Armornite finish and is capped with a Gemtech ETM flash hider threaded 1/2x28. A mid-length direct impingement gas system delivers reliable cycling.

The upper and lower receivers are machined from aluminum with a Gray finish and feature fully ambidextrous controls for left- and right-handed shooters, anchored by a thumb safety. The lower carries a flat Performance Center trigger for a clean pull, and the M&P grip sits behind a black Magpul DT carbine stock that adjusts the overall length from 33" to 36".

For sighting, the rifle ships with tactical folding front and rear iron sights, and the Midwest Industries handguard provides an accessory mounting platform. The 1:8" twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights from light varmint loads up to heavier match-grade projectiles. Empty weight is approximately 6.5 lbs.

This Performance Center rifle ships with one 30-round magazine included and is built in the United States as part of S&W's premium AXE line of M&P15 platform rifles.
