The Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Plus Optic Ready is a micro-compact, striker-fired 9mm Luger carry pistol built around the flat-profile, lightweight polymer frame that made the original Shield a concealed-carry standard. This variant adds an optic-cut slide, expanded magazine capacity, and tritium night sights for a modern defensive setup ready to accept a red dot right out of the box.

At the core of the pistol is a 3.10-inch stainless steel barrel finished in black Armornite, housed in an optic-ready slide with lightening serrations. The slide is precision-machined to accept popular micro red-dot optics and carries Tritium night sights front and rear as a co-witness backup. The matte black polymer frame features an aggressively textured grip surface and ships without a thumb safety for a clean, snag-free draw from concealment.

Made in the USA, the Shield Plus ships with two magazines - one flush-fit 10-round and one extended 13-round - giving the shooter both deep concealment and full defensive capacity from a single package. At just 19.3 ounces unloaded and measuring 1.1 inches wide by 4.6 inches tall, it is comfortable for all-day carry while still delivering the M&P line's crisp, consistent striker-fired trigger pull.
