The Smith & Wesson 1911 E-Series in .45 ACP is a Commander-size, single-action semi-auto pistol built on the classic Government platform. It pairs a 4.25" stainless steel barrel with a black serrated stainless steel slide and a lightweight Scandium alloy frame finished in black with an integral beavertail.

Aggressive front and rear slide serrations aid manipulation, while tritium night sights front and rear deliver confident low-light target acquisition. The round-butt frame carries a pair of laminate wood grips shaped to the E-Series profile. The manual safety is the traditional 1911 grip and thumb safety, and the pistol ships with two magazines - a 7-round and an 8-round - for an 8+1 capacity with the extended mag.

Weighing 28.8 oz unloaded with an overall length of 7.95", the E-Series strikes a practical balance between a full-size Government's controllability and an Officer's compactness, equally at home in a range bag or an IWB holster.
