The Smith & Wesson Model 1854 brings S&W's historic lever-action line back to the lineup in a modern, optics-ready package chambered in .44 Magnum. Made in Springfield, MA, this rifle is built around a 19.25" stainless steel threaded barrel with an Armornite finish and a heavy contour that tames .44 Mag recoil, paired with a steel receiver topped with a full-length Picatinny rail for red dots and scopes. The barrel is factory-threaded 11/16x24 and ships with a thread protector so you can mount muzzle accessories right out of the box.
The smooth-running lever action is paired with a modern flat-face trigger and a crossbolt safety for confident, controlled handling. A tubular magazine feeds 9+1 rounds, and the 1:20" twist stabilizes a wide range of .44 Mag and .44 Special bullet weights. Traditional gold bead front and adjustable rear iron sights sit on the barrel, giving you a reliable backup sighting system alongside the optics the Picatinny rail is built for, while M-LOK slots on the forend accept lights, lasers, and other accessories.
The fixed black synthetic stock is finished with a non-slip coating for a secure grip in any weather, and the big-loop lever provides easy cycling with gloved hands. At 6.80 lbs unloaded and 36" overall, the Model 1854 balances fast handling with the heft needed to push full-power .44 Mag loads. Whether you are reaching for a brush-country carbine, a suppressor-friendly hunting rifle, or a handsome addition to the collection, this is a faithful S&W lever-action built for today's shooter.
