The Sightmark SM39016 laser boresight is a chamber-specific zeroing tool engineered for .40 S&W pistols. The body is machined from brass to the actual chamber dimensions of the .40 Smith & Wesson cartridge, so the unit drops in like a snap-in dummy round and projects a red laser downrange. That lets you quickly and accurately dial in iron sights, red dots, and pistol optics before burning a single round of live ammunition.
Because the boresight is caliber-specific rather than universal, the brass body seats precisely in the .40 S&W chamber for a more representative point of aim and a much closer match to live-fire impact than loose universal-fit units. Beyond range-day sight-in, the SM39016 doubles as a useful dry-fire training aid for "quick draw" drills, trigger-pulls, and draw-to-target practice at home.
The unit ships complete with a carrying case to protect the brass body and laser module in your range bag, three AG3 button-cell batteries for immediate use, and operating instructions. With batteries installed, simply chamber the boresight like a round, close the action, and walk your sights to the laser to confirm zero before heading to the range.
