The Sierra Tipped MatchKing brings the legendary MatchKing accuracy reputation together with a modern polymer-tip ogive designed for serious precision rifle shooters. This 7mm (.284") reloading bullet is built around a heavy 160 grain projectile, pairing a copper-jacketed, lead-core construction with a plastic polymer tip and refined ogive geometry that reduces drag and delivers a higher ballistic coefficient than the open-tip MatchKing counterpart. The result is a component designed to hold tight groups at extended distances, whether you are ringing steel at long range or stacking points on a competition course.
Sierra's Tipped MatchKing (TMK) design was developed to give handloaders the consistent accuracy and concentricity the MatchKing line is known for, with the polymer tip refining the bullet's aerodynamic profile for higher BC and reduced drag. At 160 grains in 7mm, this bullet carries a sectional density of 0.283 for excellent downrange energy retention and stability. Per Sierra's published data, the 7mm 160 gr. TMK achieves a ballistic coefficient of .600 at 2140 fps and above and .615 between 1600 and 2140 fps, holding its velocity and trajectory flatter than many conventional match bullets in this weight class.
Each box contains 100 bullets, all built around a precision-drawn copper jacket over a lead core with a plastic tip. Like all Sierra projectiles, the Tipped MatchKing is manufactured to tight tolerances and is a favorite of competitive shooters, long-range precision competitors, and handloaders chasing sub-MOA performance from their rifles.
