The Sierra MatchKing 30 caliber 169 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail bullet is one of the most trusted projectiles in precision rifle competition and long-range shooting. Designed by Sierra with one goal in mind, shooting 1000 yards in a .308 Winchester, the 2269MP features an extended boat tail that maximizes ballistic efficiency downrange, producing a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.527 for flat trajectory and excellent resistance to wind drift.

Sierra builds the MatchKing around a precision core wrapped in an extremely thin copper jacket. Each jacket is drawn to an exacting concentricity standard of 0.0003 inch or better, and individual bullet weight is held to within plus or minus 0.3 grain so reloaders can build tight-grouping, consistent loads. The bullet measures .308 inch in diameter and carries a sectional density of 0.254, making it well suited for any standard 30 caliber case appropriate for long-range match work.
