Sellier & Bellot SB857JRSA Rifle 8x57 JRS 196gr Soft Point Cut Through Edge 20 Bx/ 20 Cs - Box or Case

Built by Sellier & Bellot in the Czech Republic, the SB857JRSA is an 8x57 JRS hunting load made for single-shot rifles. The 8x57 JRS is the rimmed counterpart to the famous 8x57 JS Mauser cartridge, originally developed for break-action, falling-block, and other single-shot rifles of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Loaded with a 196-grain Soft Point Cut Through Edge (SPCE) bullet, this round uses a semi-jacketed soft point whose exposed lead tip and notched jacket lock the core and jacket together at impact. The result is reliable expansion, a clean entrance wound, and an easy-to-follow blood trail on light to medium game. Muzzle velocity is 2382 fps, generating 2469 ft lbs of muzzle energy at the muzzle.

Brass casings deliver consistent field performance and support handloading for shooters building custom 8x57 JRS loads. Each box holds 20 rounds, and a full case contains 20 boxes (400 rounds).
