The Savage Rascal Youth is a purpose-built .22 LR bolt-action rifle designed to introduce younger and smaller-framed shooters to the shooting sports. Compact, lightweight, and scaled to fit, the Rascal gives beginning marksmen a safe, accurate, and easy-to-use platform to build confidence with rimfire ammunition.

At the heart of this rifle is a 16.13" matte black sporter barrel with a target crown mated to a blued carbon steel receiver. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets parents or instructors set a clean, light pull appropriate for a developing shooter, while the thumb safety and simple single-shot design keep operation controlled and straightforward.

This 13844 configuration is set up specifically for left-handed shooters and wears a fixed pink synthetic stock with an 11.25" length of pull. The receiver is topped with Savage's signature adjustable peep sights for iron-sight practice, and the rifle tips the scales at just 2.71 lbs with an overall length of 30.63". A 1:16" twist stabilizes standard .22 LR projectiles, and the easy-to-use single-shot feed ramp makes unloading simple.
