The Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter is a lightweight straight-pull bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 308 Win, purpose-built for backcountry and mountain big game where weight, balance, and long-range accuracy all matter.

At the front sits a 22" Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped stainless steel barrel with a 1:10" twist, factory threaded for muzzle devices and capped with Savage's OmniPort muzzle brake to reduce felt recoil on the hunt. Overall length measures 44.75" and the rifle tips the scales at just 7.16 lbs, making the Mountain Hunter easy to pack on long stalks.

Savage's straight-pull bolt action uses the proven Hexlock locking system for fast, smooth, and positive lockup. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers a clean, crisp break, and the tang safety keeps the controls intuitive and within reach.

Topping the black aluminum receiver is an integrated Picatinny rail for direct optic mounting, and the rifle ships without iron sights so you can run the scope you trust. The gray AccuStock synthetic stock carries a black rubber cheek piece and grip inserts for a secure hold in wet or cold weather, and the platform is laid out as fully ambidextrous for any shooter.
