Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter 30-06 Springfield 22" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle

The Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter is a purpose-built lightweight straight-pull bolt-action rifle chambered in 30-06 Springfield, designed for hunters covering serious ground in steep, high-country terrain. Rather than a traditional rotating bolt, the Impulse uses Savage's straight-pull action - the bolt handle pulls directly rearward to cycle, allowing rapid follow-up shots without breaking cheek weld or losing the sight picture.

At the heart of this rifle is a 22" Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped stainless steel barrel in a matte black finish, threaded 5/8x24 for suppressor or muzzle-device use. The 1:10" twist stabilizes the broad range of bullet weights the 30-06 Springfield supports. An OmniPort Muzzle Brake is fitted at the factory.

The action is housed in a black aluminum receiver topped with a Picatinny optics rail; no iron sights are provided, allowing the shooter to mount their preferred optic directly to the receiver. The rifle is fitted with Savage's AccuTrigger, and a top tang safety rounds out the controls.

The gray AccuStock synthetic stock features ambidextrous molding for left- or right-handed shooters. The rifle weighs in at 7.14 lbs unloaded and measures 44.75" overall. Capacity is 4+1.
