Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter 28 Nosler 24" 2+1 Bolt Action Rifle - Ambidextrous

The Savage Arms Impulse Mountain Hunter is a purpose-built straight-pull bolt-action rifle designed for backcountry and mountain hunting. Chambered in the high-performance 28 Nosler cartridge, it pairs a lightweight chassis with Savage's signature accuracy features in a package that tips the scale at just 7.24 lbs.

At the heart of the Impulse platform is Savage's unique straight-pull bolt action with a removable, multi-positional bolt handle that lets the rifle be configured for either right- or left-handed operation. The action incorporates the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a tang-mounted safety, and the Hexlock three-position bolt-locking system for safe handling in the field.

The 24-inch carbon fiber threaded barrel is profiled for weight reduction while maintaining rigidity, with a 1:8.44" twist rate well suited to the long, heavy bullets typical of 28 Nosler loads. The barrel is threaded at the muzzle for a suppressor or muzzle brake and mates to a black aluminum receiver with an integral one-piece 20 MOA Picatinny rail for direct optic mounting. No iron sights are installed.

Savage's AccuStock chassis provides three-dimensional bedding that free-floats the barrel and locks the action in place for repeatable accuracy shot after shot. The stock is finished in gray synthetic for a clean, weather-resistant package. This configuration is fully ambidextrous, ready for either shoulder.
