Savage Impulse Hog Hunter 300 Win Mag 24" 3+1 Bolt Action Rifle

The Savage Impulse Hog Hunter is purpose-built for fast follow-up shots on wild hogs, pairing Savage's signature straight-pull bolt action with the long-range authority of the 300 Win Mag cartridge. Part of the American-made Impulse platform, this Hog Hunter variant is engineered around the action's Hexlock locking system, giving hunters a bolt-action feel with the cycling speed of a semi-auto for rapid, accurate second shots when a sounder of pigs is on the move.

At the heart of the rifle sits a 24" matte black threaded barrel, button-rifled and hand-straightened from carbon steel for MOA-capable accuracy with a 1:10" twist rate. The barrel is mated to a matte black aluminum receiver machined with an integrated Picatinny rail for straightforward optics mounting. Factory sights are not included, allowing the shooter to configure the rifle with their preferred scope or red dot for hog hunting. The threaded muzzle is ready for a suppressor or muzzle brake.

The Impulse Hog Hunter feeds from a 3-round detachable box magazine for a total working capacity of 3+1. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger is factory-set and lets the shooter dial in a crisp, personalized pull weight without a trip to the gunsmith. The action is ambidextrous, with controls usable by both right- and left-handed hunters, and the straight-pull bolt itself is configured for shoulder-side cycling to match the chosen stock orientation.

Savage's AccuStock with a matte OD Green synthetic finish anchors the rifle, providing a rigid, full-length bedding platform that free-floats the barrel for consistent accuracy across the 300 Win Mag's effective range. The rifle measures 45.50" overall and weighs in at 9.20 lbs, a balanced configuration for spot-and-stalk hog control or extended hunts from a blind.
