The Savage Axis XP Compact chambered in 350 Legend is a scaled-down bolt-action hunting rifle built for shorter-framed shooters and the straight-wall cartridge rules popular across the Midwest. It carries the same proven Savage bolt-action foundation as the full-size Axis line, trimmed down to a compact, easy-handling configuration.

The action is a traditional bolt with a two-position safety, feeding from a detachable 4-round box magazine for an overall 4+1 capacity. The 18-inch sporter barrel is free-floated for consistent accuracy with a 1:16 twist, the rate Savage specifies for stabilizing the broad range of 350 Legend bullet weights. Overall length measures 37.5 inches with a reduced 12.75-inch length of pull to better fit youth, smaller-statured, and compact-carry shooters.

The synthetic stock is finished in matte black with an ergonomic profile for positive control in adverse conditions. The barreled action wears a matte black oxide finish to resist corrosion in the field. The rifle ships without iron sights; as part of the XP package, it comes with a factory-mounted 3-9x40 scope so the rifle is range-ready out of the box. Right-hand configuration.
