The Savage Arms Axis XP Combo is a left-hand bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 400 Legend and factory-equipped with a mounted Weaver 3-9x40mm scope so it is ready for the field right out of the box.

At its core is a 20" matte black button-rifled carbon steel barrel with a 1:16" twist, joined to a matte black drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver that accepts standard scope bases. The proven bolt action feeds a detachable 4-round magazine for a total 4+1 capacity in the straight-walled 400 Legend cartridge, a round favored by hunters in states with straight-wall ammunition regulations.

The fixed sporter black synthetic stock keeps the rifle weather-resistant and brings overall weight to 7.40 lbs, with an overall length of 40.5". Factory iron sights are not provided; the included Weaver 3-9x40mm scope covers the close- and mid-range distances most hunters work at.
