Savage Axis XP 7mm-08 Rem 20" 4+1 Bolt-Action Rifle - 3-9x40mm Scope

The Savage Axis XP is a turn-key hunting package built on Savage's proven bolt-action platform and chambered in the flat-shooting, mild-recoiling 7mm-08 Remington. The "XP" package ships from the factory with a 3-9x40mm scope mounted and bore-sighted, so the rifle is ready for the field right out of the box.

The bolt action is paired with a two-position safety and feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 4+1 capacity. The 20" carbon steel barrel carries a 1:9.5" twist rate, well-suited to the wide range of 7mm-08 bullet weights, and is finished in matte black oxide. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24 for suppressor or muzzle-brake use, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for the included optic mount.

A matte black synthetic stock wraps a right-hand action with comfortable ergonomics for all-day carry. Overall length measures 40.5" and the rifle tips the scales at roughly 7.5 lbs, striking a practical balance between stability and portability for whitetail, mule deer, and similar North American big game. The 7mm-08 Rem cartridge delivers .308-class accuracy with significantly less recoil, making the Axis XP an ideal choice for new hunters and experienced shooters alike.
