Savage Axis XP .243 Win 20" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle - Left Hand

The Savage Axis XP is a purpose-built left-hand bolt-action hunting rifle from Savage Arms, chambered in the versatile .243 Winchester cartridge. Configured for the southpaw shooter, the Axis XP pairs Savage's proven bolt-action reliability with a compact, maneuverable 20" free-floating carbon steel sporter barrel, a 4+1 detachable box magazine, and a factory-mounted 3-9x40 scope package right out of the box.

At the heart of the action is Savage's adjustable AccuTrigger, allowing the shooter to dial in a clean, crisp, creep-free pull straight from the factory. The bolt feeds from a 4-round detachable box magazine, and the action wears a tough Matte Black Oxide finish. A two-position safety sits at the rear of the bolt for fast, intuitive manipulation. The free-floating barrel carries a 1:9.25" twist, well matched to the broad spread of bullet weights .243 Win can throw, and is threaded 5/8x24 for the addition of a muzzle brake or suppressor. Overall length measures 40.5" and the rifle tips the scales at approximately 7.6 lbs.

Built around a durable synthetic stock cast for left-hand operation, the Axis XP is purpose-built to handle everything from whitetail and mule deer hunting to coyote and light varmint work.
