The Savage Axis II Precision is a purpose-built bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington, designed to deliver Savage's renowned out-of-the-box accuracy in a long-range precision chassis platform accessible to a wide range of shooters.
At the core is a 22" heavy threaded barrel with a 1:7" twist, finished in matte black to suppress glare. The carbon steel receiver is also finished matte black, and the rifle ships with no iron sights, leaving the shooter free to mount the optic of choice. The threaded muzzle is ready for a muzzle brake or suppressor attachment.
The action feeds from a detachable AICS-pattern magazine for a total capacity of 10+1. Savage's signature user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows the shooter to set pull weight to taste without replacing the trigger assembly. Bolt-action operation keeps the platform simple, reliable, and consistent shot to shot.
Savage houses the barreled action in an MDT aluminum chassis finished in OD Green with a black polymer grip area. The chassis offers adjustable comb height and length of pull to fit a wide range of shooters, providing a stable, repeatable platform for prone and bench work. Configured for right-hand operation throughout.
Overall length is 43.50" and the rifle weighs approximately 9.88 lbs, giving it the heft and balance needed for stabilized long-range shooting without becoming a burden at the range. Whether stepping into precision rifle competition, dialing in a long-range hunting rig, or simply wanting a tack-driver on a chassis, the Axis II Precision pairs Savage accuracy with MDT ergonomics.
