The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo is a compact bolt-action rifle chambered in 400 Legend, purpose-built for hunters who want a lightweight, ergonomic, scope-ready package straight out of the box. The "Compact" configuration features a shortened stock geometry with a 12.75" length of pull, paired with an OD Green synthetic stock for a classic field look.

The proven bolt action cycles a detachable 4-round box magazine for a 4+1 capacity, and Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers a crisp, clean break out of the box that can be tuned to the shooter's preference without tools. The 20" Heavy Sporter contour barrel features a 1:16 twist rate, and a carbon steel receiver is finished matte black for a no-glare hunting profile.

Overall length is 39.50" and the rifle weighs approximately 7.50 lbs unloaded, making it well-suited for long sits and extended carry on the hunt. Iron sights are not provided; this Axis 2 ships as a dedicated scope platform. Right-hand configuration.

As the "Combo" designation indicates, this Axis 2 ships from the factory with a 3-9x40mm riflescope mounted and bore-sighted, so it is ready for the field the moment you open the box. A single 4-round detachable magazine is included.
