The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo delivers a complete, ready-to-hunt bolt-action package in 400 Legend sized for shorter-length-of-pull shooters. The compact configuration pairs a 20" matte black heavy sporter barrel with a 1:16" twist and a carbon steel receiver, mated to a fixed gray synthetic stock with a 12.75" length of pull.

Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets you set the break weight to your preference, and the action feeds from a 4+1 detachable box magazine. No iron sights are provided; the rifle ships with a factory-mounted, bore-sighted 3-9x40 scope featuring fully multi-coated lenses and toolless windage and elevation adjustments, plus a pair of Weaver-style bases.
