The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo Compact brings Savage's proven hunting platform to left-handed shooters in a trim, more maneuverable package. Chambered in .308 Winchester, this bolt-action rifle ships from the factory with a mounted and boresighted 3-9x40mm scope so it's ready for the field right out of the box.

The rifle is built around a 20" matte black heavy sporter barrel with a 1:10" twist, paired to a drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets you set a clean, light pull without a trip to the gunsmith, and the box magazine delivers the line's standard 4+1 capacity.

A fixed matte gray synthetic stock keeps weight down to about 7.50 lbs and shrugs off weather, giving the rifle an overall length of 39.50". No iron sights are fitted - the included factory-mounted, boresighted 3-9x40mm scope handles aiming duties.
