The Savage Axis 2 Pro Western Compact in 6mm ARC is a purpose-built hunting bolt-action rifle configured for left-hand shooters. Built around Savage's updated Axis 2 action with an ergonomic bolt handle and a one-piece rail, the rifle pairs a 20" threaded barrel with a 1:7.5" twist to stabilize modern 6mm ARC hunting projectiles.

The barreled action wears a Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote finish for corrosion resistance in rough field conditions, and the fixed stock is finished in Savage's Western Camo pattern with a contoured pistol grip. The receiver is machined from carbon steel, and the action is drilled and tapped for optic mounting; the rifle ships with no iron sights installed. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger is standard, allowing the shooter to set pull weight without tools.

The rifle feeds from a 4-round detachable box magazine for a 4+1 total capacity, with one magazine included.
