The Savage Axis 2 Pro Western is a left-handed bolt-action hunting rifle built around Savage's proven push-feed action and chambered in the classic .270 Winchester. It carries a 20" heavy sporter threaded barrel at a 1:10" twist, cut to a 5/8x24 thread pitch so you can run a suppressor or muzzle device straight out of the box. A carbon steel receiver sits beneath the included one-piece Picatinny rail, and the rifle ships with no iron sights, letting you choose the optic that fits your hunt.

The fixed synthetic stock is finished in Savage's Western camouflage pattern and shaped with an integrated pistol grip sized and oriented for the southpaw shooter. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets you dial in a clean, crisp pull without sending the rifle off to a gunsmith, and a top-tang thumb safety keeps the controls simple and familiar for anyone who has run a Savage bolt rifle before.
