The Savage Axis 2 Pro is a purpose-built hunting bolt-action rifle chambered in 30-06 Springfield, configured here for left-handed shooters with the bolt handle and ejection port on the right side. The spiral fluted barrel sheds weight and helps the bore cool faster between shots for improved shot-to-shot consistency in the field.

The 20" carbon steel barrel is spiral fluted and threaded 5/8x24 for easy suppressor or muzzle device installation. It carries a 1:10" twist that fully stabilizes the broad range of 30-06 bullet weights, from light varmint loads through heavy controlled-expansion projectiles. The receiver is carbon steel finished in a tough Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote for corrosion resistance in harsh weather.

At the heart of the rifle is Savage's renowned user-adjustable AccuTrigger, which lets the shooter set the pull weight without tools. The action is a smooth, traditional 90-degree turn-bolt feeding from a detachable 4-round box magazine for an overall 4+1 capacity in 30-06 Springfield. The rifle ships with no iron sights, so you can mount your preferred optic right out of the box.

The fixed synthetic stock wears Savage's Forest SP Camo finish with an integrated pistol grip profile and a 13.75" length of pull. The package measures 40.5" overall and tips the scales at a manageable 6.8 lbs, making this an easy-carry hunting rifle that balances well on long stalks and absorbs recoil comfortably.
