The Savage Arms Axis 2 Pro Compact is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 400 Legend, designated by Savage for big game hunting. Built on the proven Axis 2 platform, this Compact variant pairs updated ergonomics with Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger and the company's signature thread-in headspacing system for consistent barrel-to-receiver fit.

The 20" carbon steel barrel is spiral fluted and threaded at the muzzle for the fitment of a muzzle device or suppressor. The barrel wears a Cerakote finish in Gun Metal Bronze and is paired with a 1:10" twist rate. The carbon steel receiver ships without iron sights installed, ready for the shooter to mount their preferred optic.

The fixed stock features an integrated pistol grip and is finished in Savage's Forest SP camouflage pattern. With an overall length of 39.50" and a weight of 6.70 lbs, this is the Compact configuration of the Axis 2 Pro, set up for right-hand shooters.

A 4-round detachable magazine is included, giving the Axis 2 Pro Compact a 4+1 working capacity.
